Assist the site Manager implement and maintain the site contractor Health and Safety management system; culture; functions and processes to ensure control of loss; life; property; process and environment. JOB SCOPE This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Environmental, Health and Safety procedure defined by company and contract on the project site. This position is responsible for delivering and maintaining safety systems and initiatives across the project to employees and contractors alike. This position is responsible for implement the Group Health & Safety Incident Reporting, Classification, and Investigation Standard This position ensures that all emergency response team and equipment are ready and effectively maintained to control loss during emergencies. This position is responsible for Standards on site This position is responsible for Aims for zero accidents Job Specifications EDUCATION: College graduate with, preferably, a Science-related degree EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (10) years in a safety management role in a large organization; or Minimum five (5) years in an operational role in a “safety conscious” organization Strong technical knowledge in safety concepts such as risk management, incident investigation, systems development, behavioral safety, change management, hazard recognition, auditing, inspections and reporting. LICENSE/S REQUIRED Certified Safety Practitioner under both DOLE and Mine Safety legislations Valid Driver’s License SKILLS / COMPETENCIES Technical: Systems development (Risk assessments) Develop and conduct training; Report writing; Procedure writing (from concept through to development, implementation, documentation and auditing) Leadership: Communication, Leadership, People Management, Interpersonal, Influencing, Proactive Health Considerations: Physically fit (can conduct inspections at heights, confined spaces and other high risk areas without health restrictions)
