Quality Systems Engineer Department HSSEA Responsible to: HSSEA Manager Responsible for: Supporting the Business Management Systems Transition to ISO 9001:2015. Qualifications Degree / HNC qualified and + 5 years sector experience working on multi-disciplined engineering projects at different phases. Chartered Member of the CQI preferred In depth knowledge and experience of management systems and process improvements. IRCA ISO 9001:2015 trained Lead Auditor preferred. Competent in the use of quality tools and techniques and the interpretation of obtained results. Possess good presentation skills and be able to market the benefits of quality to all stakeholders. HSSE and Quality Responsibilities Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and of others who may be affected by your actions. Co-operate by following all relevant health and safety policies and practice safe work habits. Not to misuse any equipment and report any damaged equipment. Report all injuries, incidents and near misses and to proactively support our behavioural based observation system. Implement established procedures to ensure compliance to Quality and HSSEA requirements. Identify opportunities for improvement in Quality and HSSEA and notify the relevant department. Required Characteristics Able to prepare effective and value adding audit reports in clear, concise written English. Be a confident communicator and be comfortable with delivering presentations. . Possess good planning and organisational skills. Be diplomatic, assertive and a persuasive communicator. . Detail oriented & with good analytical skills. Able to complete tasks on time and to required standard. Be able to effectively share knowledge Purpose To assist the current HSSEA & QA team in the successful transition of the Woking business management system from its current 9001:2008 certification to the latest 2015 standard. Responsibilities / Duties Gain an understanding of current best practice processes implemented in the Woking business, including Project Delivery Baseline, Proposals Baseline and TechX. Gain an understanding of the stakeholder requirements to the Business Management System across ALCS East, ALCS West & STS for the business. Develop & deliver ISO 9001:2015 awareness sessions for process owners and interested parties. Understand & critically evaluate the findings of the ISO 9001:2015 gap analysis & Transition Plan; Assist the HSSEA Manager in planning, execution and rollout of any revisions to business management system documents. Provide progress reports and as required; In conjunction with the HSSEA Manager liaise with certifying bodies as and when required & actively participate during surveillance and recertification audits Plan and conduct internal audits as and when required and facilitate disposition of audit findings. Support HSSEA Manager in any quality related activities as they arise. Required Qualifications / Experience
