Job Description Interested in developing your career in the energy sector? Want to work on flagship projects? FastTrack’s energy division are currently working in partnership with a leading multinational construction company who are active in the new build energy sector. Working in a Joint Venture, they have successfully tendered and now been awarded an EPC contract to build an Energy From Waste plant and are now in a position to start building their site based construction and commercial management team. To start ASAP we are looking for: Commercial Manager Location: Scotland Employment Type: Permanent Salary: £70 – 75,000 + car + benefits Responsibilities: · Overall Responsibility for the successful financial delivery of the project. · Ensure that work carried out is in line with JV agreement, ensuring any additional work is agreed as per time and cost measures. · Follow and implement to the companies commercial procedures to ensure the financial success of construction, reporting all activities to management · Leading a team up 6 staff – encouraging professional development · Preparation of sub-contractor payments, ensuring cash is properly distributed · Liaise with management and report progress to the Project Manager Requirements: · Proven commercial management experience across varying construction projects · Extensive knowledge of Construction Law, Drafting management reports, Construction Planning/Costs · Experience in managing and developing staff managers · An effective leader, negotiator and communicator of a range of people · Previous experience in claims management and dispute resolution · Experience in energy construction projects is desirable · CSCS Card/CITB Training and/or a member of a recognised institute is also favoured
