918140 - Cost Controller ( Azerbaijani nationals only) Job Description Ensure analysis and understanding of the Project Contract and Scope In liaison with the Tender Team, review and analyse the as-sold budget and cash plan and modify and/or detail this plan Develop a common understanding by the budget holders of the Tender budget through a review and analysis process. Ensure the transfer of the Tender budget to the cost management system to form the basis of future monitoring and control Prepare and establish the Cost Work Breakdown Structure and Cost Model using standard company formats Ensure full coherence and utilisation of the Cost Control System and that it aligns with the structure for budgeting purposes and reporting key performance indicators throughout the project Establish and communicate processes and routines required for effective control and reporting during the project lifecycle to team members with consideration of financial and other compliance legislation Maintain constant awareness of progress of work by pro-actively collecting the necessary supporting material (planning and reports) and information from all reliable sources Ensure the timely coding, collection, analysis and reporting of all project expenditure and revenues, together with the budget holder(s) Ensure all costs are allocated to the right destinations (departments, contracting entities) Compute Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP) Calculate and plan Estimate To Complete (ETC) Interface with budget owners on a regular basis to review commitments and the Estimate At Completion (EAC) Participate on estimate of Variations Orders, prepare supporting data and documentation and implement validated VO budgets into the cost control system Conduct reconciliation of actual expenditures & revenues and produce monthly project accruals and determine profitability in accordance with accounting principles and guidelines Produce monthly forecast Ensure in-depth analysis, understanding and reporting of variances Maintain, prepare and assist in presentation of internal cost models and project review reports Prepare the customer cost reporting package as dictated by the contract Continuously interface with the Finance Manager in the reporting of actuals, forecasts, variances and cash flows Prepare and issue all project sales invoices including focus on unbilled and debtor management including the DSO (days sales outstanding) KPI Engage with internal & external audit requirements as required Prepare Close Out Documentation both internally and externally relevant to the Function Ensure proactive methods in sharing knowledge and experience, raising areas of difficulty and concern and assisting in improving routines Attend regular functional meetings and workshops within the Project Controls team as and when nominated Ensure information is fed back to Estimating department during project execution and at project closing whenever needed Personal Specification Professional qualifications – Finance or Business related higher qualification but where a good level of experience in a similar role can be demonstrated this will be considered Good awareness of relevant accounting standards Membership to a relevant Professional body is desirable Broad experience of delivering Cost Control for various types and size of project. Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in the subsea or offshore environment Skills Technical knowledge and application of Cost Control and associated systems Strong knowledge of Excel is required and working experience with SAP is desirable Time management and self-checking approach to workload Strong communication skills at all levels and commitment to self- improvement Cultural awareness and sensitivity Knowledge Understanding of the Offshore Oil and Gas industry
