WorleyParsons is looking for a Senior Expeditor to join our Oil & Gas delivery operation in Aberdeen on a contract basis for 12 months. Role Overview Act as lead expeditor on a project and provide continuous insight into suppliers progress towards meeting purchase order requirements, particularly delivery schedules. Gather available data to explain requirements against which supplier’s progress can be measured. Monitor and report that progress to project management. Develop alternative and timely schemes to keep progress on schedule for project requirements. Perform the assigned tasks and provide supervision and guidance to assigned personnel. Role Expectations Responsible for the co-ordination of project expediting activities, including distribution and management of workload Effectively manage Expediting team Taking complete ownership of project expediting delivery, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager Ensure all deliverables related to packages, equipment, materials and documentation are met or improved upon as per project schedule Co-ordination of deliverables from both supplier organisations and internal disciplines Understand and have the ability to analyse and challenge manufacturing production schedules relating to packages, equipment and material items Key Aims and Objectives Develop appropriate expediting strategies and plans, including manpower requirements. This includes direct input into project PEP and ownership of project expediting plan Achieve on time delivery of packages, equipment and material items as well as project documentation, as a minimum Ensure any instances of negative variance to achievement of PO requirements is proactively managed with appropriate mitigations Ensure compliance with WorleyParsons code of conduct Manage appropriate relationships with Expediting team members, suppliers and key stakeholders Key Responsibilities Ownership of expediting discipline into project PEP and expediting strategy and where necessary the trade compliance plan Achieve on time delivery of packages, equipment and material items, ensuring associated KPI’s are actively performance managed Actively development, implementation and management of scope specific expediting strategies and plans, as appropriate Ensure key document deliverables are submitted and approved within the required timescale; Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers Obtain supplier reports, analyse and challenge prior to project distribution Carry out/execute field expediting visits or prescribe scope for externally resourced field expediting visits, capturing findings in detailed report Ensure all project stakeholders are aware of latest expediting information with respect to project deliverables Update project reporting systems and tools with latest information Management of project specific expediting report, as well as ownership of expediting status report (ESR) meeting Provide project specific information for input to Project Management Reporting Working alongside Senior Buyer with ongoing Supplier performance management Work closely with Quality Control and Material Controllers to ensure purchase orders are released, shipped and receipted in a timely manner. This also includes supporting the QA team with ongoing inspection and test plan (ITP) management Ensure goods release is supported with required customs and shipping requirement Work closely with Quality Control, Material Controllers and Procurement team to address any OS&D/NCR issues, including leading progressive learning initiatives as required Ensure ongoing electronic filing of key correspondence in the designated PO filing structure, also ensuring Expeditor I and II level resource or equivalent is performing in this area Promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment within the Supply Chain Role Requirements Qualifications - essential HNC/D or equivalent in appropriate subject Demonstrable relevant experience and exposure, typically 5 years + IT Literate (Excel / Word etc) Advance Diploma level member of CIPS or greater Qualifications - desirable Degree in an appropriate subject Experience - essential Proven experience in expediting delivery of packages, equipment and material items and design data from suppliers in line with contractual delivery dates Management of expediting teams on Brownfield / Greenfield projects Experience of allocation of expediting activities within the expediting team Draft, implement and audit use of expediting procedure Proven track record of building productive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors Demonstrate the ability to manage and co-ordinate multiple purchase orders and associated deliverables with a range of different material types and associated criticality ratings Proven capability to analyse and challenge supplier production schedules to identify areas of concern, lagging indicators and associated mitigation initiatives Good understanding of shipping release requirements in terms of customs and shipping requirements Demonstrate excellent organisational and co-ordination skills Computer literate with experience of various supply chain systems Competent in maintaining and updating project reports accurately Ability to lead an expediting status meeting, reporting progress, managing associated actions and follow up Ability to liaise and effectively communicate at all levels of the business, both internally and externally Demonstrate a strong commitment to HSSE Experience - desirable Experience gained in the oil and gas industry Computer literate in the use of Microsoft software Excellent knowledge of engineering commodities
