FPSO Topsides Construction Manager Our client, a global oil & gas operator, require an FPSO Topsides Construction Manager to join their team on a long-term contract basis, initially in Perth. The role of the FPSO Topsides Construction Manager is to direct the overall planning, staffing and execution of FPSO topsides construction activities for a major capital Australian project in an environmentally responsible and safe manner Oversee development of the FPSO FEED contractor construction execution models and ensure realistic execution cost estimates and schedules are in place, consistent with overall Project requirements. Identify fabrication risks and develop/implement mitigations. Provide input to the FEED phase engineering, along with full participation in the FPSO technical and commercial evaluation activities leading up to FPSO contract award. Oversee the successful FPSO contractor’s plans for fabrication, module integration and pre-commissioning and handover to commissioning; ensure that the contractor executes topsides construction activities in full accordance with the EPCI contract’s technical and commercial obligations. Ensure that the topsides construction team is staffed and with competent resources and attains all safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives To be considered for the role, you will display the following: Bachelor’s degree in a main engineering discipline or equivalent demonstration of practical construction experience. 15 years’ experience in construction management of multiple upstream projects, including FPSO or integrated topsides. Experience with upstream oil and gas industry contractors, vendors and suppliers in Australia, Southeast Asia and East Asia. Experience with the development and/or implementation of worksite safety programs. Experience in the application of planning and scheduling tools to manage construction activities, monitor progress, and identify issues for prompt resolution. Understanding of technical engineering issues, project scope, operations, construction, productivity, commercial and other uncertainties inherent in successful construction management Experience in resolution of contractual/commercial issues arising during construction activities. Understanding of QA/QC processes and requirements needed for establishing an effective quality management system. Working knowledge of project cost estimating analysis and forecasting. Lifting and sail-away experience and their interfaces with construction activities
