Position Overview: The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, prioritizing and scheduling production activities while leading hourly employees to meet customer requirements by providing a safe work environment. In this function you will: Champion, coach, recognize, communicate expectations (during daily Tier I meetings) and motivate employees to utilize Continuous Improvement tools to exceed safety, cost, productivity, quality, employee engagement and delivery targets Establish and maintain an environment conducive to continuous improvement manufacturing; recommend alternatives for improving production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions Champion manufacturing team in achieving production schedule goals and exceeding customer expectations. Drive activities to reduce past due, scrap, and overtime cost while meeting safety and quality objectives by escalating issues to Tier meetings for timely resolution. Lead the Flow Line Team (FLT) or High-Performance Work Team (HPWT) in your shift to improve the High 5 metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity) by engaging your employees and leveraging all support functions. Conduct process checks within areas of responsibility and monitor performance to establish standard work formats and daily accountability by reviewing the hour by hour boards. Maintain and consistently administer local policies to meet day to day operating requirements. Ensure that all regulatory standards and company policies are understood, supported and followed on the production floor Promote positive employee relations to ensure success within the manufacturing environment while identifying and implementing improvement opportunities. Initiate and coordinate assistance as required from support functions to ensure process capability & improvement through measuring and monitoring performance and root cause problem solving using A3 or 8D processes. Coordinate on the job training, provide training resources within the department and maintain training matrix accordingly.
