Head of Engineering Compression Complexes Our client, a major LNG operator in Qatar, requires Head of Engineering Compression Complexes for an Onshore Compression project on a 3-year renewal contract basis. Reporting to the Engineering Division Manager based at Contractor Home Office during the Engineering & Procurement phase and transitions to the onshore construction offices (location to be further defined) for fabrication and subsequently support of Offshore Commissioning and Start-up. The main accountabilities are: The position is reporting to the Compression Project Engineering Division Manager and coordinates the brownfield detail engineering activities to ensure the work is executed in compliance with the Contract, Project Design Basis, specifications, codes, standards, and regulations. Compression Project main scope of work is related to brownfield modification for various Clients existing wellheads and riser platforms. Coordinates interfaces between Compression Project Engineering Team and others such as Construction, Systems Completion, Operations, other Project EPC contracts, and third parties (if needed) to obtain timely engineering input and decisions. Working in a highly technical and challenging project management environment, provide knowledge, advice and technical support to EPC Division Engineering Manager, demonstrating an understanding of the requirements of brownfield engineering deliverables and effectively execute brownfield activities related to modifications, improvements and alterations within the engineering scope of the project. Responsible for engineering of Brownfield modification on Clients existing facilities, as part of the essential scope to support Compression Project’s start up (Major Compression Complexes) and Loading Facility Ensures execution of the project is completed within approved project parameters including safety and quality. Coordinates across multiple Compression EPC Contracts to ensure alignment in design. Coordinates pooled, functional resources to provide oversight of contractor activities and ensure completion of Company responsibilities to achieve project objectives. Has a critical role in ensuring alignment with both internal and external disciplines, functions, and stakeholders which is essential for achieving project objectives. Owner of key process in particularly Clients Shutdown management plan, systems, and reviews which ensure the quality and completeness of technical deliverables required for proper execution of the work. Suitable candidates will require a bachelor’s degree in engineering with more than 10+ years of experience in offshore flexible / Umbilical/cable engineering with at least 15 years of broad experience in all project phases, i.e., engineering, procurement and construction, in particularly in Brownfield engineering At least five (5) years of specific project in Brownfield execution especially into multi-disciplines engineering management role on a major offshore oil and gas facility project. Worldwide experience with contractors and vendors, in particular those involved in the engineering of major offshore oil and gas facilities. On offer is a competitive daily rate with monthly living and transport allowances on a 12 x 2 weeks rotation schedule with flights provided. Married status option also available.
