(421) Welding Engineer
-Monitoring of existing weld procedures. -Advising and implementing new weld process, interpret of customers requirements at bid stage -Be the liaising point with customers and engineering and manufacturing groups on welding related matters on a daily basis -Involved in material selection in relation to product and clients requirements -Accountable for development of new Welding Procedure Specifications and proposing new WPS for customer review and approval -Select suitable WPS for Shop floor welding -Train welders and welding inspectors on weld failure analysis and eliminating weld defect problems -Qualify and maintain welding qualifications -Assist Shop floor to analyse and solve welding problems -Perform all other duties as required Desired Candidate Profile -B. Tech. Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineer by profession, Qualified as CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector & ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT -With minimum 8 years’ experience in similar role with experience in Steel Structural and Piping -Welding and Inspection Exposure - Hands on experience on all arc Welding processes, WPS / PQR Qualification, Preparation and Approval, Inspection and Test Plan Preparation for Welding Joints for Static Pressure vessel and heat exchanger equipments -Construction Code Knowledge like ASME Sec VIII, IIC, IX & PD 5500. -Knowledge of various standards such as API RP 934, API 582, API 510, API570, API571, API579, API581, NACE & API 1104. -Knowledge of PDO Specifications like SP 2069, SP 1171, SP-1173, SP 2041, & GU 256. -Able to train and lead Welding Training School -Good knowledge of English – written and verbal communication skills. -Acquainted in MS Office
