(733) Compressor and Steam Turbine Engineer

We have an immediate requirement for a Compressor & Stream Turbine Engineer to join the Consulting Services Department/Rotating Equipment Project Support Group based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The Consulting Services Department provides Saudi Aramco with effective specialized engineering consultations introduces viable technologies and maintains quality standards. Minimum Requirements The successful candidate must have the following experience, competencies & skillsets: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher qualification from an accredited university. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration would be desirable but is not essential. Fifteen years of direct Rotating Equipment experience in refineries, chemical plants, power and utilities plants, gas plants or similar working facilities working in an engineering function to resolve plant machinery and operational problems. Ten years’ experience in analyzing performance of, troubleshooting, selecting, and maintenance of process gas compressors, steam turbines, gearboxes is required. Experience shall include mechanical seals troubleshooting, and basic vibration analysis experience. Detailed knowledge of international codes and API standards is required to support the review of company standards, project reviews, and implementation of plant modifications to compressors and steam turbines. Experience in solving large process gas compressors mechanical failures are required. Experience in a Reliability Unit handling rotating equipment for an industrial plant is desirable. Demonstrate excellent technical report writing and presentation skills. Possess excellent command of spoken and written English. Duties & Responsibilities Design and selection of Compressors, Steam Turbines and Gear Units. Review and comment on design packages. Initiate and deploy new technologies to improve Compressor and Steam Turbine reliability and performance. Investigate and troubleshoot Compressor and Steam Turbine and associated systems problems. Witness Factory Acceptance Tests & review test results. Provide timely support to Saudi Aramco operations and projects. Deliver in-house Compressor and Steam Turbine Training Deliver presentations and publish technical papers in referred conferences and journals. Mentor, coach and impart knowledge to young engineers.
