- To operate and maintain lathe , milling ,drilling and cutting machines etc. and well versed with precision measurement tools. - Ensure that works are executed in safe manner and strictly adheres to company UZ HSEMS system and procedure along with good housekeeping practices. - Liaise with supervisor and other trade counterparts for machining related work requested and to accomplish the works in effective manner. - To ensure all machining works complying with good standard practices. - Ensure that all machining and measurement equipments and tools are well maintained and safe for use. - Notice and inform the supervisor for material and tools purchase requirement in advance and following up the status and ensuring the material are delivered as specified. - Report daily activities to the Supervisor and discus the concerns if any. - Contribute for continuous improvement in enhancing work productivity and HSE issues. - Educate UAE National developees. - To carry out machining work for UZ site. Desired Candidate Profile - High School Education or equivalent plus Industrial Training certificate on Machining is preferred. - Minimum 10 years experience as a Machinist, out of which 5 Years of Off- shore experience is preferred. - Experience with the operation of Central lathe, Drilling, Milling and Cutting equipments and hands on experience of precision measurement tools such as Vernier Calipers, Inside and Outside Micrometer, Bore gauges, dip gauges, etc. - Reconditioning of parts of Pumps, Compressors, Valves and other machinery Components by machining , to restore the original dimensions/clearances. - Reading and understanding of assembly/component drawings/specifications and fabricate parts as per the details given. - Fabrication of special bolts and nuts ; Thorough knowledge of different types of threads is essential. - Experience in Maintenance of Work Shop Machines, such as oil changing, minor adjustments, changing of parts etc.. - Knowledge on Work permit/HSE requirements in Oil, Gas and Petro Chemical Industries. - Good spoken and written knowledge in English language. - Knowledge /experience with different types of materials such as CS, Cast Iron, Monel, SS, Titanium, Aluminum, PVC, Teflon, Nylon, Relco, Zeron, Cu – Al, Bronze and Haste alloy etc
