Job Description Closing Date: 20/06/15 Basic Functions: •Acts as a single point of contact / responsibility for all control / automation engineering issues. Arbitrate in the event of technical dispute between conflicting parties •Manages the production of engineering studies for the Assets and Shareholders and support investigation of operational or business development opportunities. Ensures seamless integration of constructibility, operability and commercial aspects into a single product •Supports and implements the use of Company Project Processes, including VAP, and in particular for production of Front End Engineering Design (FEED- Select Engineering) for the Assets and Shareholders •Delivers Control technical support to other Divisions and the ADMA-OPCO organization during the define and execute phases of work. Provide discipline engineering expertise for the development and authorize key documents (Philosophies, Policies, Design Basis) for all ADMA project works covering Assets, Major Projects and Brownfield Projects to ensure consistency and efficiency •Conducts Control discipline engineer recruitment interviews and selection approval for Pan Company and Project PMC teams. Ensures the availability of Control discipline – engineering support for temporary off-site secondment in the event of expertise shortage •Facilitates Pan Company Control engineering discipline peer review/forums to exchange experience across Asset and Shareholders staffs and ensure consistent and harmonized application of ADMA-OPCO’s standards, practices and specifications •Establish the performance Measures and an individual Personal Development Plan (PDP) against the Control Engineering Team staff members are assessed. Supplies SME/SPE support for Company competency evaluation program including inter OPCO/ADNOC developments •Identifies the training needs and work opportunities to close performance gaps and to further individuals in their PDP, coaches, mentors and supports of subordinates and peers both in the Control Engineering Team and other ADMA-OPCO department staff. Ensures that National graduates under the CAMS scheme receive all necessary development support including competency assessors and verifiers •Participate in the development and management of the Control Discipline Engineering Team schedule of product deliveries working with Asset, Department and Shareholders entities to set priority against available resources and budgets •Identifies, qualifies and supervise individuals and contractors resources necessary to carry out work demands placed on the Control Engineering team in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner Desired Candidate Profile Minimum Requirements: Age: Up to 55 Yrs Bachelor Degree in instrument /control engineering discipline or equivalent. 10 - 12 years’ experience in Oil and gas industry with at least 7 years in a Senior Supervisory level. Interpersonal and communication skill Very good knowledge of English Language
