Job Reference SL-1013 Job Description : NRLs client has an initial 12 month contract role for an HSE Advisor to be based in Glasgow. This is Pre-Construction phase for 12-18 months so looking for candidates happy to be office based and can demonstrate that in a recent role. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES This section is to define/qualify the expertise/capability which is ESSENTIAL to meet job demands. Knowledge Posses a comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental management systems and their application and operation; Possess a detailed working knowledge of applicable statutory and legal obligations; Knowledge and understanding of project management systems and governance arrangements for a large capital projects; Knowledge of both the offshore and onshore working environments; Demonstrable advisory/management experience of project SHE management in major projects; Experience of proactively supporting project SHE management teams and functions Knowledge of EPC contracting strategies; Highly numerate with the ability to distil complex data and information; Advanced IT skills: MS Office Essential Functional / Technical Skills Diploma or Certificate in safety and health management; Experience in an advisory / management role on large construction projects. Direct experience of large offshore construction projects is essential; Experience in the execution of offshore renewable energy projects and / or projects within the offshore oil and gas industry; Experience in OSHAS 18001 & 14001 auditing of safety management systems; Experience of implementing and monitor behavioural safety programmes; Experience in construction site inspections and interacting with project and construction managers.
